On Monday, June 24, 2024, PT. TJK Power participated in a mangrove planting event organized by the Batam City Government, along with participants from several other companies. This activity was the culmination of a series of World Environment Day 2024 events in Batam City.
The mangrove planting activity was carried out using the seeding technique. Seedlings were planted in polybags filled with soil. A total of 1,300 mangrove seedlings were planted on an area of 0.5 hectares. On this occasion, PT TJK Power donated 150 mangrove seedlings.
It is hoped that the mangrove planting will help restore the mangrove forest ecosystem in Batam City.
